Hi, Iā€™m rachel: writer and clinical mental health graduate student

You are likely to find me out basking in the Florida sun, snuggling with my fur babies, or scanning the local plant nursey for the newest member of my household.

I am an avid traveler and adventurer! I was born in a small farming community in Illinois before moving to Anchorage, Alaska where I completed my undergraduate degree. Currently my other half and I reside on the Florida Panhandle with our two dogs Artemis and Will, and our cat Patch while awaiting our next journey!

While pursuing my passion of clinical mental health counseling, I discovered another passion, writing. Mental health content writing has allowed me to enhance my clinical skills and to advance my knowledge of mental health treatment and its evolution.

Perhaps the most important benefit of my career as a mental health writer is my ability to provide empathetic and critical content to assist other mental health professionals.

My Approach to Mental Health

My passion of the importance of mental health was paved by my own life experiences and struggles, and I am thankful for every step of the journey. My goal is to help others find success in their own journey through advocacy and education of mental health.

Dream it

My dream is to increase awareness of the importance of mental health through my passion and to decrease negative stigmas still associated with disorders.

Build it

My dream comes to life through building relationships with other mental health care providers, treatment facilities, and advocacy organizations. By providing non-judgmental, empathetic, and accurate clinical mental health content, I can assist you in reaching your targeted audience.
